The aim of this
fascinating
publication was to be a modern visual history of Japan, which was edited and published by the
Domei Tsushin-sha
of Tokyo with the support of contributing newspapers throughout Japan. It served to introduce photographic real conditions and features, as well as embellishments for Japanese military strength and
propaganda
issues, being produced to convey the best mission presenting successes of then, the country of Pre War Japan.
Distinctively presented photographs concerning developments in political, economic, military and social activities of the country, with brief written explanations. Also, inclusive is a chronological record for the year's events in both photographs and brief descriptions. There are thirty-eight advertisements (several in full-page) which illustrate significant commercial marketing of this era.

Historically, this almanac is uniquely informative of that era.
RARE. Being 12" X 9" X 3/4" with 219 pages, this desirable Year Book weighs approximately three pounds and has vibrant orange and gold printed coloring on the textured softcover. As a collectible of over eighty-years old, the binding is tight, shows little use and has a light stain on binding (please see attached photo images) but it is in overall very good condition.
