    Handmade KUTCHIAN fabric Purse / Pouch with embroidery / Cowrie Shells / Mirrors. This is a Vintage textile. A Banjara ceremonial design from Kutch, Western India, circa early 1900's. The Kutchian seamstress’ hand made clothing utilized colorful fabrics, embroidered with unique stitch work, mirrors, natural Cowrie Shells, coins, beads, and etc...... all tightly sewn together into wonderful arrangements. This unusual piece is a combination of appliqué and embroidery and is completely hand stitched, including the outside piping and border. It seems to be fashioned as a purse. This Vintage TEXTILE deserves to be showcased and treasured. Collectors and enthusiasts...here is your opportunity! Artifacts of this kind will be more and more difficult to acquire.
