Vintage Indian Clay Figures Terracotta Krishnanagar w Drum Real Hair Nice Detail

Description

I believe this to be a Krishnanagar figure due to the details such as the realistic features and actual hair (made of sheep’s wool or jute) attached to his head. This figure is 5" tall and is playing a drum while what looks like him singing with his mouth open. Both feet have a break to them but appear to have been repaired.
The bodies of the
Krishnanagar figures
are modeled in active poses, made by forming coils of clay over a metal armature and finished with a square slab base; after being sun dried the figures are painted and then dressed in fabric clothing.
